Alan LeCheminant
Alan’s 40 years of guiding rivers has taken him from the Grand Canyon in Arizona to the Matanuska in Alaska, and everywhere in between. He has outfitted and guided trips quick half-day floats to remote multi-week excursions. As a trip leader and outfitter, he has become an expert in safety instruction, food planning and preparation, camp accommodations, and equipment maintenance. Over the course of his guiding career, Alan has trained and mentored many new and experienced guides. He also has over 20 years experience mentoring and guiding youth groups in multi-discipline expeditions.
Matthew LeCheminant
Matt developed a passion for rafting at a very young age, and has polished his skills as a guide over the last 15 years. Before WILD RIVER ADVENTURES, Matt worked a few miles upstream as a trip leader on the Main Salmon river. He trains all the new guides and manages the day to day here is Riggins. Matt studied Civil/Water Engineering at Brigham Young University.

Caleb Bonner
Caleb is a North Carolina native who moved to Riggins for the whitewater, hunting, and fishing opportunities. He grew up rafting and kayaking all of the classic southeastern rivers. When he’s not at the shop, you can find him on the river or in the mountains with his dogs.
Kamree Williams
Kamree is an Idaho native and has a deep love for everything outdoors; rafting, skiing, fishing, climbing… you name it. She is studying Business Management & Outdoor Recreation at Southern Utah University and is equally at home in the desert or the mountains.

Masen “Cruiz” Williams
Cruiz is in his 7th year guiding with us. He spends his free time surfing the Salmon River here in Riggins. Careful around his dog, Marie, she’s feisty. @ccruizz
Jack Long
I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho with my younger sister and two loving parents. My parents gave me the opportunity to explore my interests and took me outside for adventures at a young age. I knew I wanted to work in the outdoors from a young age and my parents gave me the opportunity to do so. In the winter I work as the lead lift operator at Bridger Bowl in Bozeman, Montana, and spend the summers on the river! I live in my van year round which lets me travel and climb in all sorts of new places.
Nate Schmidt
My name is Nathan Schmidt. I am 21 years old and from Santa Barbara, California. You can find me outdoors or by the beach. I especially love to garden and grow my own food. I love surfing, rafting and have recently taken up kayaking. I am excited to meet you all and take you down the river!
Kyle Bryan
This is Kyle’s 2nd year at Wild River Adventures, and is by far one of the nicest people you will ever meet! When he’s not on the river, you’ll find him exploring the area on his mountain bike!
Langdon Stradley
Probably the guide who loves on our dogs the most, Langdon is on his second year here at Wild River! In addition to being a guide, Langdon is a climbing instructor along with many other outdoor hobbies.

Hi! I’m Larkin, I’m a current student at Prescott College studying adventure education, I grew up in Colorado and love the outdoors. I have loved rafting and being in a river environment since I was a kid and I love being able to explore the wilderness through new perspectives and shared experiences. You can find me climbing or skiing if I’m not in the river. Stoked for some good river time!
Jake Linnon
I have had a lifelong passion for the outdoors and river ecosystems. From fly fishing in the Pacific Northwest to studying desert ecology in the southwest, my goal in life is to be a steward to our earthly ecosystems. By running rivers, I connect with the land, and foster a meaningful relationship with the natural world that extends into all other actions in my life. I love to fish, birdwatch, read, hike and share good times with good people!
Zoe Huskey
My name is Zoe Huskey.I fell in love with rafting last summer when I got my first chance to raft when I started working at Wild River Adventures. Since then, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the next season so I could get my guide’s license and raft full time. The community is so fun to be a part of, and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my summer.
Jaden Best
Hey! I’m Jaden and I am from Denver Colorado. I grew up in Columbus Ohio then at the age of 9 moved to Denver where my new adventurous life began. I grew up hiking with my family and camping. Now I am living in Arizona where I attend Prescott College, studying Adventure Education and Environmental Studies. Though at times I miss the Rockies I have been enjoying my time in the desert and all the beautiful canyons I have been fortunate enough to explore. I love spending my time outdoors whether it’s on the river or not! I am also an avid knitter and currently learning how to play guitar. I am passionate about nature sciences and environmental solutions. This is my first year guiding for Wild River Adventures and living in Idaho, I am stoked to be here and to explore this beautiful area and spend quality time on the river!

Hey, I am Julia! I am currently a Prescott College student studying Adventure Education and Social Justice Education. Through my time at Prescott College, I have found a love for the river and being on the water. I am super stoked to connect with cool people along our adventures and hearing sick stories. Pat Omaley
A former Rodeo Bull riding Champion and later rodeo host. Pat spends his time with his wife enjoying the peace the Salmon River has to offer. He is the honorary conductor of “Puff the Tragic Wagon” and might turn on the AC if you tip him.
Bob Lawrence
Bob is a longtime Riggins resident, he drives shuttle for just about everyone in town. But we claim him as ours.

About the Salmon River
The Salmon River: A Journey into Nature
The Salmon River is the longest free-flowing river in the lower 48 US. The Salmon river originates in the Sawtooth mountains near Stanley, Idaho, and carves a path North towards Salmon, Idaho, from whence it runs West through the Frank Church Wilderness area. Near Vinegar Creek, the area becomes designated as recreational and flows for 112 miles past the town of Riggins and follows a portion of Highway 95 towards White Bird, ID, where a 52-mile stretch called the Lower Salmon Gorge or the Canyons of the Salmon River begins and eventually merges with the Snake River near the end of Hell’s Canyon.
The Salmon River is known for its scenic beauty, abundant wildlife, and recreational opportunities such as whitewater rafting, sport fishing, camping, hiking, relaxing, etc.
